Welcome to Nassau Bay

A quiet historic neighborhood with a friendly, close-knit community
Nassau Bay, Texas, is a quiet historic neighborhood located in the Clear Lake Area in Harris County. It borders the city of Houston to the south, offering the residents easy access to all the amenities Houston offers. NASA’s research institute, the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center, is also directly across Nassau Bay.

Colonel Raymond Pearson founded the Spirit of 1776 Ranch in what is now the quiet neighborhood of  Nassau Bay. In 1962, the development of the posh residential and business district of Nassau Bay began. The development designers picked the name Nassau Bay because it conjured up a feeling of the tropics. Two years later, the first 400 or so residents moved into the neighborhood.

Nassau Bay has since developed into a population of over 5,000, with more than 2,000 housing units. The luxurious homes in the neighborhood are unique; every house in Nassau Bay is different since no two homes are allowed to be exactly alike (one outstanding feature of Nassau Bay homes is the antique lampposts in front). With most inhabitants in Nassau Bay renting their homes, the neighborhood has a sense of metropolitan living.
